21 December ~ Sugababes21 December/21 Декабря - Hallo... So here are the news, that will probably make you shock... Mutya Buena has officialy left the Sugababes. OFFICIALY! There is only one good side in this - it's not end of Sugababes era: new memeber has already joined the band - 21-year-old Amelle Berrabah. Read on for the whole story, the pic of the member and my personal opinion on that horrible events!

Здравствуйте... Итак, вот новости, которые скорее всего повергнут вас в шок... Мутия Буэна офифиально покинула Sugababes. ОФИЦИАЛЬНО! Есть лишь одна хорошая сторона - это не конец эры Sugababes: к группе уже присоединилась новая участница - 21-летняя Эмэль Бэраба. Читайте ниже полную историю, фото новой участницы и моё личное мнение по поводу этой ужасной ситуации!

Official Announcement

Mutya BuenaThere has been intense speculation all week about the future of the Sugababes and we can confirm today that Mutya has officially left the band. Mutya’s decision is based purely on personal reasons and she will continue to remain the best of friends with both Keisha and Heidi. The Sugababes will of course continue with Keisha and Heidi who will be joined by a new member, to be announced in the next 24 hours.
Here’s what the ‘babes say in their own words:
Mutya: “I’ve enjoyed an unbelievable career so far and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with Sugababes over the years. My decision to leave the band at this point is based purely on my personal reasons. It was very difficult but definitely not a snap decision. I signed up for being in Sugababes at the age of 13 and have spent my entire life devoted to making and performing music. I think there comes a time when everyone wants to re-evaluate their life and what they want out of it. For me that time has now come. For a long time I have been discussing with Heidi and Keisha our plans for the future and it got to the point where I honestly felt that the commitment I would need to make to Sugababes over the next 12 months was something that would become compromised by me. Clearly that wouldn’t have been fair to Heidi or Keisha or most of all to our fans. Certainly, my departure from the band would never mean the end of Sugababes. We were all in total agreement that a new member would enable the band to continue and I’m delighted that the new girl is taking my place. She’s so lucky to be getting one of the best jobs in the world! And certainly my leaving the band doesn’t mean I won’t be seeing Heidi or Keisha any more. We’ll still be seeing each other and I’ll definitely be taking Tah to all of their gigs.”
Keisha: “When the decision was made, we had a band meeting to discuss the future. I think for our fans, the one thing Sugababes has come to stand for above all else is our consistent and unique style of music. Obviously, it goes without saying that we will all miss Mutya, but we also knew there was still a place for bringing in somebody new who could help us carry on taking the Sugababes brand of music forward.”
Heidi: “Our management introduced us to someone they had been working with who undoubtedly had an amazing voice, who looked great and, just as important, was already a big fan of the band! When we all met her, we instantly knew she was the only person to share the rest of the journey with us. Next year, we’ve got so much to look forward to with our own UK Tour in March and April, and we can’t wait to be doing Take That’s sold-out stadium tour as their Special Guests next summer. Mutya’s still going to be missed but it’s great that we’re parting company still as best friends.”
Fans, although sad about the departure of one of the founder members of the Sugababes, should be exited about the next phase in Europe’s No.1 girl group. They have crafted back-to-back triple-platinum albums, sold one million singles in the UK, had four number ones , earned a Brit Award, a Q Award, an MTV Award, a Smash Hits Award and an Elle Style Award.
This is a new and exciting chapter in the Sugababes colourful history and future. The babes wish Mutya the very best for her future and also want thank their fans for their continued support and look forward to introducing their new line up and kicking off 2006 in a massive way.

И мой уход также не означает, что я больше не буду видеть Хайди и Кейшу. Мы будем продолжать видеться, и я безусловно возьму Талию на все представления."
Кейша: "Когда решение было принято, мы собрались группой, чтобы обсудить будущее. Я думаю о наших фанатах, это единственная вещь, которая важнее уникального стиля Sugababes. Фанаты, несмотря на уход одной из основательниц Sugababes, должны быть взволнованы следующей фазой европейской группы номер 1. Они выпустили один за другим 3 альбома, продали милион синглов в Англии, 4 раза поднялись на вершину чартов, получили Brit Awards, Q Award, MTV Award, Smas Hits Award и Elle Style Award.

So, the new member is Amelle Berrabah. Here is the information about her:
The lucky new Sugababe is revealed as being Amelle Berrabah, a 21 year old from Hampshire. Amelle, who is of Moroccan descent, commented: "For years I've dreamt of breaking into the music business but never did I dream of waking up one day to be the 3rd Sugababe! They're the biggest girl group in the country and absolutely the only band I would ever thought about joining. When their manager approached me with the offer, I was in such a state of shock that I couldn't even answer him! Like millions of girls my age, I've grown up with Sugababes' music as a soundtrack to my life and I've been a fan of theirs for years. I still can't believe my luck!"

Как милионы девчноко я росла на их музыке, они исполняли саундтрек к моей жизни, я была их фанаткой мног лет. Я до сих пор не верю своей удачи!"

My personal opinion

What can I say? Mutya was my all-time favourite Sugababe, I always thought her voice was the best in the group. I mean, she was a beautiful, unpredictable and individual girl - the was the face and the heart of the group. I have a strong feeling that now Keisha is going to become a leader, that is predictable - she is the only member left from the original Sugababes, after Siobhan left in 2001 and Mutya is leaving right now. That is sad... I don't think (but I hope!), that Sugababes would ever repeat This huge success they had throuh all of these years - just think about songs like 'Freak Like Me', 'Round Round', 'Stronger', 'Hole In the Head', 'Too Lost in You' - this list is endless! And what is the future of the band? I really hope the new girl has a strong voice, but don't think she'll ever replace Mutya at all - it's impossible. But I want to say to all of other fans - don't go rushing and don't judge Amelle by first opinion (especially the only one picture!), it's not her fault, that Mutya left! She may turn Sugababes into world number 1 group, who knows? We'll learn everything in the future... All I can say right now is be strong - because loosing a member of such brilliant band is hard and shoking. But we'll go through, we'll get stronger...

Я имею в виду, она была красивой, непредсказуемой и индивидуальной девушкой - она была лицом и сердцем группы. Это очень печально... Я не думаю (но надеюсь!), что Sugababes когда-либо повторят этот огромный успех, которого они добились за эти годы - просто подумайте о песнях вроде 'Freak Like Me', 'Round Round', 'Stronger', 'Hole In the Head', 'Too Lost in You' - этот список бесконечен! И каково будущее группы? Я действительно надеюсь, что у новой девушки сильный голос, но не думаю, что она когда-либо заменит Мутию - это невозможно. Но я хочу обратиться ко всем остальным фанатам: не торопитесь с оценками и не судите Эмель по первому мнению (тем более по одной фотографии!), это не её вина, что Мутия ушла. Вдруг она принесёт Sugababes мировую славу, кто знает? Мы узнаем всё в будущем... И всё, что я могу сказать сейчас - это будьте сильными - потому что потерять учатницу такоё великолепной группы тяжело и шокирующе. Но мы пройдём через это, мы станем сильнее...

Moustapha Akkad died in Jordan

Moutapha AkkadMoustapha Akkad, the Syrian-born filmmaker and producer of the "Halloween'' horror movie franchise, died Friday from wounds sustained in the triple hotel bombings in Jordan. He was 75. His daughter, Rima Akkad Monla, 34, also was killed.
Akkad, who lived in Los Angeles, was in Jordan with his daughter to attend a wedding. He died in the Jordanian hospital where he was being treated.
The two were at the wedding celebration at the Radisson SAS Wednesday night when suicide bombers struck it, the Grand Hyatt and the Days Inn in downtown Amman, killing at least 59 people including the three attackers. Rima Akkad Monla, who lives in Beirut, Lebanon, was killed immediately.
Born in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo in July 1930, the eldest of eight siblings, Akkad gained fame as a director and producer in the Arab world and West. After finishing his secondary studies in Syria, he left for America in 1950 to study film making, according to his sister. He was best known for producing all eight "Halloween'' films, starting with the 1978 "Halloween'' directed by John Carpenter and starring then-unknown Jamie Lee Curtis. That movie — and the ones that followed — sparked the teen-slasher-horror genre that led to franchises including "Friday the 13th'' and "Nightmare on Elm Street.''
Akkad also produced and directed "The Message'' (1976), a film about Islam's prophet, Mohammed, and "Lion of the Desert'' (1981), which tells the story of a Muslim rebel who fought against Italy's World War II conquest of Libya. Both starred Anthony Quinn. "The Message'' was declared sacrilegious by a group of black American Muslims, who took hostages in three Washington, D.C. locations when the movie opened in the United States in March 1977, demanding it not be shown in America.
Akkad said he was baffled by the reaction to the movie, which he said cost $17 million to make. It also was nominated for an Academy Award for best original score. "I did the film because it is a personal thing for me. ... Being a Muslim myself who lived in the West, I felt that it was my obligation, my duty to tell the truth about Islam. It (Islam) is a religion that has a 700 million following, yet it's so little known about, which surprised me. I thought I should tell the story that will bring this (history) to the West,'' he added.
Akkad said he turned to the horror genre because it was hard to raise money for religious-themed movies, according to a 1998 New York Times report.
A woman who answered the telephone at Akkad's Los Angeles home early Friday said she was too upset to talk. A telephone message left at the Los Angeles-area home of Akkad's ex-wife, Patricia, was not immediately returned. She left for Lebanon late Thursday. The couple's daughter, Rima, grew up in Los Angeles an avid polo player who graduated from the University of Southern California in 1995 with a degree in international relations.
She pursued a master's degree in Middle East studies at the American University in Beirut, where she met her husband Ziad Monla, 35. Her husband's family owns the Monla Hospital in Tripoli, Lebanon. The couple, married for six years, has two sons, ages 2 and 4. "Rima is a totally American girl,'' Patricia Akkad, 64, said Thursday in a phone interview from Los Angeles. "Here's an American who was over there and innocently killed for no reason.''
She said her daughter loved living in Beirut. "We all know the problems in the Middle East, and you never think it's going to touch you,'' she said.
Akkad's sister called for an end to terrorist attacks on civilians. "I feel sad and the world feels sorrow with us. This kind of incident rarely happens, but it has happened with Moustapha Akkad,'' Leila Akkad told AP in a telephone interview. "These attacks are chaotic and do not differentiate an enemy from a friend. A solution must be found to this problem.''
With the death of his daughter, Rima, Akkad is survived by three sons, Tarek, Malek and Zeido. Funeral services for Rima Akkad Monla were scheduled for Friday in Tripoli. Services for Akkad were scheduled Sunday in his hometown of Aleppo, his sister.

What to watch in November

'The Descent'/'Зловещая Темнота''Cry_Wolf'/'Волк-Одиночка''Tamara'/'Несущая Смерть'
There are 3 new horror movies, that you can watch in Russian cinemas in November. They are:

The Descent - a British horror movie about 6 women trapped in the cave and haunted by some cannibalic monsters. As critics say, it's the scariest British horror movie for the last 10 years. The director, Neil Marshall, previously made 'Dog Soldiers' movie.

Cry_Wolf - tells a story about a group of teenagers that created a fake story about a killer and made it spread online, but soon the real killer turns their lies into reality. The movie stars John Bon Jovi.

Tamara - a low-budget supernatural thriller about unpopular student named Tamara, who returns for revenge after her death, caused by her classmates prank. Nothing special about this movie, but the screenplay was written by the author of 'Final Destination'.

'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer' - casting news

Here are some casting news for the upcoming direct-to-video trequel for the 1997's 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', that was titled 'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer' and is about to be released in 2006. Star LaPoint, Brooke Nevin and Alessandra Toreson got the roles of teenagers, who is haunted by the unknown killer with the hook, one year after they accidently killed their friend. A killer fisherman's role will play Don Shanks, a horror legend, who played Michael Myers in 'Halloween 5: Revenge of Michael Myers' (1989). There is some rumours that Jennifer Love Hewitt will reprise her role of Julie James and, by the message at 'Bloody Disgusting' site, that's what she told: "I'm not starring, she's not even a pivotal part of the storyline - but there is a twist at the end, and you might see Ms Julie then". She said the new, young, cast reminds her a lot of what her, Sarah, Ryan and Freddie were like, when they were doing the first film, and predicts "they'll all be big stars". However, it can be just some fan's dream than a truth.

'Final Destination 3' and 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Origin' release dates!

'Final Destination 3'New Line Cinema revealed the release dates for 2 anticipated sequels! Final Destination 3 will hit the theatres on February, 24! And the prequel to the 2003's hit Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was titled 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Origin' will be released on October 6th, 2006 with Jordana Brewster ('The Faculty') and R. Lee Ermey in the main roles. 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'The movie will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman ('Darkness Falls') and will tell the story of a group of teenagers, that is haunted by a killer with a chainsaw, that is turned to be a young Leatherface.

Sony Pictures decided to make another sequel to 1997's horror hit 'I Know, what you did last summer' with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The movie already has a sequel - 1998's 'I still know, what you did last summer' - one of the worst sequels ever! New movie will be titled 'I'll always know, what you did last summer' and the shootings should begin in August. The plot (that is very similar with original movie) tells a story about 4 high-school students from small Colorado town who kills their friend after their joke at the 4th of July went wrong. The group agree to keep their secret safe, but year after somebody send them a letter, that says 'I know what you did last summer'. Soon, their lifes turn into bloody nightmare... Gosh! I wonder, who needs this movie? It sounds like 'I know...' meets 'Jawbreaker'! The movie is about to be released at autumn 2006.

'The Fog' remake is coming!

'The Fog' 2005 poster

In John Carpenter's 'The Fog' (1980) the main roles have played Jamie Lee Curtis ('Halloween') and Jamie Lee (her gone-but-not forgotten mother, famous for 'Psycho'). In it's 2005 remake, which is about to be released at October, 14-th, stars Tom Welling ('Smallville'), Maggie Grace (future 'X-Men 3') and Selma Blair ('Cruel Intentions'). Movie tells a story about quite seaside town that is engulfed by a thick fog precisely one century after a boat sunk just off the coast under mysterious circumstances. Now the ghosts of 100 years old's event return for their bloody revenge. The director of new version is is Rupert Wainwright ('Stigmata'). Higher you can see the teaser poster of the movie.
