OFFICIAL - Rob Zombie on new 'Halloween' movie! - 05.06.06
Bloody Disgusting finally confirmed today that the next 'Halloween' movie will be directed, written and produced by famous shock-rocker Rob Zombie, whos movie resume includes 'House of 1000 Corpses' (2003) and 'The Devil's Rejects' (2005). Bob Weinstein, the president of Dimension Films, stated, "Rob Zombie is a gifted musician and performer as well as a talented filmmaker. His vision for this new 'Halloween' is spectacular and I am thrilled to be collaborating with him and to work closely with Malek Akkad to continue the legacy built by his father, the late Moustapha Akkad." Zombie said, "I have been a huge, huge fan of John Carpenter's original film since its release. So when Bob Weinstein approached me about this, I jumped at the chance to join forces with Dimension Films on this amazing project." Later today he added: "Okay here's the real deal for those of you who are confused. As I said yesterday - I am not making Halloween 9. That series is done, complete, over.
But what I am doing is starting totally from from scratch. This the new HALLOWEEN. Call it a remake, an update, a reimagining or whatever, but one thing that for sure is this is a whole new start... a new begining with no connection to the other series. That is exactly why the project appeals to me. I can take it and run with it.
I talked to John Carpenter about this the other day and he said, "Go for it, Rob. Make it your own". And that's exactly what I intend to do." The new movie will be released in October, 2007.

'Halloween: Halloween: 25 Years of Terror' DVD
Anchor Bay Entertainment will release Halloween: 25 Years of Terror, the most comprehensive and official documentary on the "Halloween" films ever produced, on July 25th, according to Davis DVD. Narrated by P. J. Soles, the documentary chronicles the longevity of the films over the past quarter century and features over 80 interviews with actors and crew members from the entire franchise, as well as fans and critics. Also featured are never-before-seen behind-the-scenes clips, rare photos, alternate footage, original artwork, music and footage from the fan-organized Halloween Returns To Haddonfield 25th Anniversary Convention. Retail will be $19.99.

No prequel, new sequel!
HorrorChannel reports, that next Halloween film won't be based on Jake Wade Wall's script called Halloween:The Missing Years, mainly because it must have featured Dr.Loomis' character, and Donald Pleasance, who played this role in 5 of 8 Halloween movies, has rested in peace 10 years ago. But the good news is that the new movie will be located in Smith's Grove, but it will be a sequel. Check out site's article for more!

'When a Stranger Calls Back'
Sony’s Screen Gems are apparently ecstatic about how well 'When A Stranger Calls' went, so have put the sequel on the fast-track – at this stage, it’s not known whether it’ll carry the “When a Stranger Calls Back” title.
Having now gotten over some of those bad reviews for the first film (“C’mon, It was really only the first ten minutes of the original, that was scary. The rest was terrible. It became almost unwatchable. It surprised me how angry a lot of the critics got by what I did”), Jake Wade Wall, the writer, is now at work on the sequel, which will most likely again star Camille Belle. “We started working on the sequel before the first film came out, and I’m really excited about it.” One of the criticisms of the first film was that we didn’t find much out about the killer – in the sequel, we will. “A lot of people got so pissed about that. That was something I had personal pride in…but absolutely [we will find out more about him]”. And again, if it’s an “out and out sequel”, then pretty young Camilla Belle will “definitely be back” to play the terrorised babysitter again.

'Urban Legends' return!
Prepare yourself for another ride to the world of spooky urban legens, as 4th installment of 'Urban Legends' series, titled 'Urban Legends: Goldfield Murders' is in a post-production status. Original 1998's movie was a thriller about a seral killer, who used urban legends as a script for his murders. Jared Leto, Tara Reid and Rebecca Gayheart appeared in this movie. 2001's sequel 'Urban Legends: Final Cut' saw a group of students, who are making a movie based on a legend, terrorised by the real killer. Finally, in 2005 direct-to-video triquel 'Urban Legends:Bloody Mary' was released and it was more supernatural thriller than a typical slasher. New movie, is about to be released this year, tells a story of a group of students, that visits legendary haunted hotel to make a video footage.

Sugababes + Girls Aloud = COLLABORATION!!! - April Fools' Day Joke
There was reported yesterday that Sugababes will record a duet with Girls Aloud. Both bands, that released their latest albums in autumn, have tours in the summer (however, Sugababes will only support Take That on their tour), so their managments thought it was a good idea to release a collaboration track to promote both bands and also to stop all these rumours about bands hatred. Nadine from Girls Aloud says: "It's a great idea! I've been waiting for ages for us to do a duet or something, and couldn't even imagine that one day we'll do a song with Sugababes, they're amazing!". Heidi from Sugababes added: "We had some problems, and I'm happy to set things up and in such great way." The song was already written by Sugababes and will be produced by Xenomania. 'Arrow in the Head' website posted 6 nice clips from the upcoming horror sequel 'Final Destination 3', that hits US theaters on Febraury, 10. Russian release date is August, 3d. You can download all clips on this page! By the way, a star of the movie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, will return to the genre as she plays the main role in the upcoming remake of 'Black Christmas', about a serial killer, that terrorised a group of girls in a soroty house.

Next 'Friday the 13th' this year?
New Line Cinema reported that they're working on the 11th instalment (12th, if 'Freddy Vs. Jason' counts) of the 'Friday the 13th' series, and are planning to release it on October, 13-th (yes, it'll be Friday) 2006. The movie will be about Jason Voorhees' origins. How cool? And there's also some rumours, that this movie will be a 'Friday the 13th Part 3' remake - and as the original will be released in 3-D.

Russian Horror Week
It isn't Halloween, but Russians distributors don't really care about this - otherwise, why would they release 3 horror movies in one week? Well, I won't lie telling you I'm not happy! Read on for the details.
First of all, 2005 remake of John Carpenter's 1980 classic 'The Fog' with Tom Welling and Selma Blair starts this week. The plot tells a story about a small town Antonio Bay, that is haunted by a mysterious fog, that really isn't normal fog - the ghosts give town a little visit in its 100 birthday.
Finally, 'Tamara' will be released on a big screen (earlier than in the US, I'd like to say). If you haven't yet seen site's movie page, than I'll tell you that this movie is about a nerdy high-school student Tamara, who's studying witchcraft to seduce her teacher, but after a prank by her classmates causing girl's death, Tamara returns as a sexy avenger.
And last by not least, UK shocker 'The Descent' by Neil Marshall, that is about 6 women trapped in the cave with some cannibalic blind freakes, will be released on this week, too. So be sure to order your tickets and check these movies - you won't be dissapointed!

И наконец, английский шокер 'Спуск' Нила Маршалла, рассказывающий о 6 женщинах, попавших в ловушку в пещере со слепыми уродами-каннибалами, тоже выходит на этой неделе. Так что не забудьте приобрести билеты на эти фильмы - вы не будете разочарованы!

At first, Britney Spears's chapter is officially closed - I just don't have enough time for this and I also loose all my interest in her. But I haven't deleted all Britney's media files - now you can find them in 'Sound@Hole' section. Now move on for some HUGE stuff - Halloween chapter, that was there right from the beginning, has been fully re-done with some extra new stuff like new photos, information on every movie in series and other! Sony’s Screen Gems are apparently ecstatic about how well 'When A Stranger Calls' went, so have put the sequel on the fast-track – at this stage, it’s not known whether it’ll carry the “When a Stranger Calls Back” title.
Having now gotten over some of those bad reviews for the first film (“C’mon, It was really only the first ten minutes of the original, that was scary. The rest was terrible. It became almost unwatchable. It surprised me how angry a lot of the critics got by what I did”), Jake Wade Wall, the writer, is now at work on the sequel, which will most likely again star Camille Belle. “We started working on the sequel before the first film came out, and I’m really excited about it.” One of the criticisms of the first film was that we didn’t find much out about the killer – in the sequel, we will. “A lot of people got so pissed about that. That was something I had personal pride in…but absolutely [we will find out more about him]”. And again, if it’s an “out and out sequel”, then pretty young Camilla Belle will “definitely be back” to play the terrorised babysitter again.
Prepare yourself for another ride to the world of spooky urban legens, as 4th installment of 'Urban Legends' series, titled 'Urban Legends: Goldfield Murders' is in a post-production status. Original 1998's movie was a thriller about a seral killer, who used urban legends as a script for his murders. Jared Leto, Tara Reid and Rebecca Gayheart appeared in this movie. 2001's sequel 'Urban Legends: Final Cut' saw a group of students, who are making a movie based on a legend, terrorised by the real killer. Finally, in 2005 direct-to-video triquel 'Urban Legends:Bloody Mary' was released and it was more supernatural thriller than a typical slasher. New movie, is about to be released this year, tells a story of a group of students, that visits legendary haunted hotel to make a video footage.
