Prom Night gets visual
'Prom Night' remake premieres on April,11 2008 in US. 2 promotional photos and a poster were revealed recently. The movie will be released in PG-13 version, so don't expect too much blood or gore. Donna's (Brittany Snow, 'Hairspray') senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, though a sadistic killer from her past has different plans for her and her friends.

It really comes as no surprise after 'Final Destination 3' got a box-office hit status back in 2006, that 'New Line Cinema' is ready to start things up for 'Final Destination 4' movie. There are 2 exciing news about - first - it will be directed by David R. Ellis, who shot the best 'FD' movie - 'Final Destination 2'. And second - it will be shot in 3-D. The movie will be based on the screenplay by Eric Brass, who co-wrote the second movie, and will have all-new teens dealing with new ways to die.

'F13' release date, 'FVJ 2' news
'Friday the 13th' remake got a release date - it's February, 13th 2009 - it's going to be one hell of a Valentine day! And the opening sequence of the movie was revealed at CHUD website. The movie starts with a group of 5 kids going to the woods near abandoned Crystal Camp. While 3 of them stays near the fire, a Survivor Girl with her boyfriedn goes to the wood where they find a cabin, where Jason lives. Soon Jason kills all the guys and grabs the Survivor Girl - and the opening credits appear. The movie will be a mix of the first four 'Friday the 13th' movie. By the way the buzz around Jason's comeback got 'New Line Cinema' back to their another franchise - studio has serious plans to shot 'Freddy VS Jason 2' after the remake.

Exciting news from 'New Line Cinema' - Marcus Nispel, who shot a wonderful remake of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' in 2003, will direct a new 'Friday the 13-th' movie, that was written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The movie will be a remake, that will be all about Jason and the reasons he became a serial killer. It was already confirmed, that in the new movie Jason will wear his famous hockey mask and will deffinately kill. A lot.

Looks like the Creepers will haunt us once more! It was confirmed that Victor Slava will both write and direct 'Jeepers Creepers 3'. Unfortunately right now the movie is set to be directed-to-video, but the things can change.

~Gorgeous Canadian electro-pop duo Dragonette finally released their debut album 'Galore' and let me just tell that it's fantastic! If you've already heard their debut single 'I Get Around' (I posted it back in June), then you know how good they actually are. Now I'm leaving you with a track called 'Marvellous' from their album. If you want to hear more from them - just let me know and I'll upload more of their songs.

The song will be released as a single next year.

~'Strictly Physical' is Germany girlband Monrose's second single off their second album 'Strictly Physical' (comes out on September, 21st). If their previous tune, 'Hot Summer', reminded of Nelly Furtado's 'Maneater', than the new single sounds like Nelly's 'Say It Right'. Anyway the track is quite good.
~Mans Zelmerloew is a Swedish popstar, member of Swedish 'Idol 2005'. In 2007 he released his first single 'Cara Mia' - a nice pop tune with a catchy chorus and nice vocals from Mans. His debut album 'Stand By For...' made it to the top of Swedish album charts.

~'Hook Me Up' is a 1st single from The Veronicas upcoming second album (will be released in November). The tune is less rock, more electric than their typical songs, but it is still quite good.

Back to the House
'Return to House on Haunted Hill' comes out on DVD on October, 16th. The sequel to 1999's hit House on Haunted Hill will find Sarah Wolfe (originally played by Ali Larter), the only survivor from the massacre at the Vannacutt Mansion with nobody believing her that ghosts were responsible for the gruesome murders that took place there. Now her recent and questionable suicide leaves her sister, Ariel (Amanda Righetti, 'The O.C.'), no choice but to devote herself to finding out who - or what - was responsible for her death. Ariel discovers that Sarah sent her the diary of the sadistic Dr. Vannacutt just before she died, offering clues to the diabolical evil that resides within the house. But the diary also makes Ariel a target in a deadly treasure hunt that leads a group of unwitting victims back to the Vannacutt Mansion, reawakening the terror imprisoned within the house on the hill. Jeffrey Combs reprises his role as the evil Dr. Vannacutt. The DVD release will feature lots of bonus materials as well as interactive state-of-the-art Navigational Cinema which allows viewers to select alternate film sequences throughout the movie as it plays.

Dimension Films announced that 'Pulse 2' and 'Pulse 3' will be shot back-to-back this autumn for direct-to-video release. Here are the plots for the sequels of the movie, that stared Christina Milian. Joel Soisson will both write and direct both sequels.
Pulse: Afterlife
The world has been reshaped by the invasion of ghosts via the wireless internet. Cities are deserted, technology has been destroyed and the few remaining human beings eschew anything electrical in order to avoid a confrontation with the soulless ghosts that now wander the planet. Most of the ghosts are doomed to a repetitive loop of something they did while they were still despairing humans (a man repeatedly hangs himself, for example), but there are some ghosts so locked in denial, they do not know they are dead. They continue to haunt their homes, wrapped in fear that their souls will soon be torn from them.
Pulse: Invasion
It is now seven years later and the survivors on Earth have settled into a primitive lifestyle completely void of electronics. The clusters of human survivors live together in refugee camps as the phantoms have taken over the cities. Justine is now a teenager and she escapes to the city to try and make a life for herself where she is not a drain on her adopted family (her parents both became phantoms in part one). She heads in to the city at the urging of Adam, a seeming survivor in the city that lures her with promises of understanding and friendship.

Touchstone Picture starts filming a sequel to the last year's dance movie 'Step Up' on next week. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, stars of the first movie, won't appear in the sequel. However the plot will once again take place in the Maryland School of the Arts and will focus on Patrick Collins (played by Robert Hoffman, 'She's the Man'), a student of the school, who hears of a legendary, underground team dance battle that happens every year called The Streets that only locals have access to. Andie West, a B-girl who is part of the best team that competes in The Streets starts to attend MSA, sparks fly and Patrick is let into the underbelly of the Baltimore dance scene. The movie will come out in the USA on February,14th, however it is not clear yet if it'll be direct-to-video or theatralical release.

'All The Boys Love Mandy Lane', which comes out in USA on July,20th, is a horror movie about Mandy Lane (Amber Heard, 'Alpha Dog'), who is the most popular girl in town. But someone has gone one step too far in his desires about this girl, which results in a series of gruesome events during a weekend party on a secluded ranch. The movie was already shown at some festivals in USA and UK and got some good reviews. Unfortunately there is no release date for Russia yet.
